In COVER 69, our new section The Story focuses on the important subject of sustainability. It features interviews with trend consultant Philip Fimmano, Jennifer Jones of San Francisco’s Niche Interiors and seaweed textile creative Violaine Buet plus a report on sustainable yarns.

Art rugs are a big news in the issue, with reports on Helen Yardley’s rug exhibition at the Ruthin Crafts Centre in Wales, Liz Collins’ ‘Mischief’ show at Touchstones Rochdale, the astounding 80×80 rug project by TAN and the latest Tomorrow’s Tiger rug by Ai Weiwei. COVER also talks to Nepali artist Tsherin Sherpa about his use of rugs as art, and we take a look at the Cadrys exhibition at the Powerhouse in Sydney.

New London-based rug brand Peter Page comes under the spotlight and we highlight new collections by Zandra Rhodes and Fuli, Zollanvari and SoFarSoNear Milan and Deirdre Dyson. The Interiors section features Kips Bay Dallas and an interview with interior designer Rayman Boozer, while our events pages look to January fairs including Domotex Hanover and COVER Connect Las Vegas.
