The Rug Show @ Javits on 22-25 September was hailed as a great show. Buyer Elizabeth Vehko of Shaver Ramsey in Colorado praised the event with her words: “The venue couldn’t have been better. The lighting was great. There was enough space for everyone to show off their products. The hotel was conveniently located to the Javits Center, and the show party was fantastic!” While exhibitor Suat Izmirli of Anadol Rug Co agreed with the sentiment with his comment: “This is a show not to miss. Our Turkish ushaks and modern pieces were both well-received. It was very good to see old friends, existing customers and to meet new customers, too.”

The special ‘Afghan Pavilion at The Rug Show’ organised by AfghanMade featured at this year’s show. Included in the pavilion were top international names James Opie, Matt Camron, Ignacio Larrain (Chile), Oritop (Australia), Michaelian & Kohlberg and Eliko.

The show in its second year has had another good result so we hope to see the event build on this great work in 2014.
