This year's CDW will host an eclectic array of rug and textile brands

This year’s edition of Clerkenwell Design Week (21–23 May) boasts the most extensive programme to date. In and amongst the host of exhibitors, events, workshops and installations are highlights that will undoubtedly catch the eye of anyone with an interest in rugs and textiles.

Rug from the VICHY collection by Kasthall

Kasthall will be displaying its new VICHY collection during the week. Recently launched in Stockholm, this series of rugs is a modern take on the classic gingham design. Also promising new rug designs during CDW is Jacaranda, with its Balearic collection by Jan Erika, consisting of four designs inspired by the diverse landscapes of Mallorca. In terms of showrooms, those of Kirkby and Kvadrat will be sure to feature a wide range of enticing textiles, including the latter’s incredible new collaboration with Ronan Bouroullec.

This year, CDW maintains its commitment to promoting emerging talent, hosting a varied array of newcomers. One of these is Granite + Smoke, which will introduce its new hand-tufted rugs created in collaboration with Roger Oates Design. Crafted from 100% British blended wool, each rug undergoes meticulous hand-finishing in Devon after being spun and dyed in Yorkshire.
