CC-Tapis in Casa Pedro Ramírez Vázquez

February 07, 2024

Rugs by cc-tapis are currently on display at the house of Mexican architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez.

As part of the contemporary art fair ZSONAMACO MÉXICO 2024, Studio 84 welcomes visitors into the home of iconic Mexican architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez (1919-2013), where, in and amongst the personal items of the architect, can be found rugs by cc-tapis and art pieces by Nilufar. The casa, a Modernist masterpiece built in 1958, and its contents can be viewed until 11 February.

It is here that cc-tapis has launched the Naïf collection by Lebanese designers david/nicolas. Combining a love of geometric shapes with the charming irregularities of hand-drawn patterns, this collection features designs that are at once simple and spontaneous. The brand is also displaying the Plasterworks collection (2019) by david/nicolas at the casa, as well as the Guadalupe collection (2023) by Bethan Laura Wood. The latter collection was incidentally inspired by the stained-glass windows of the New Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City, designed by Pedro Ramírez Vásquez himself.
