The Dutch, Berlin based artist has been producing handwoven abstract tapestries since 2009. For Rye Wonk, a series of new wall mounted weavings are presented, which place crucial importance upon the interplay of warp and weft, material and thread, and colour and texture. The weavings aim to generate meaning through the material they are made of rather than through external references. They are displayed alongside a number of new sculptural ‘Bouquets’.
