There is a large selection of rugs on the market being made with left over sari silk in beautiful rich colours. To add to this concept Istanbul-based designer Meb Rure makes chairs out of recycled silk yarns from Nepal bound ontop of America white oak frames. To enhance the ecological aspect of the design the frames are transported completely disassembled. Silk yarn is wound around foam to make the seating very spongey and comfortable. The range includes a chair, stool and ottoman, enough to cheer any room.
