The Tapperello modular rug system by Italian designer Nicola Lattanzi for company Formabilio is made of 90% pure wool felt and comes in 3 sizes and 8 colours. The edges fit easily together creating the option for endless mix and match possibilities. Lattanzi comments on his design: “I like colours, patterns, simplicity, fabrics. For me design is in the tiny, everyday, wonders without which we couldn’t live; a clothes peg, a paper clip: intelligence behind small objects. Not to simplify, but to reduce complexity: this is what a designer should do.”
