Inspired by the mosaics and tiles of the Middle East, Turkish product designer Derya Erkan has created a collection of colourful cushions that first made their appearance at New Designers 2012. The dark red, brown and black colours zing alongside a striking green, similar to those found on mosaic architecture in Tunisia and Morocco. Based in London, Erkan has focused on using natural products; the cushions are stuffed with pure wool and are stitched together using traditional knitting techniques.
