Vienna-based weaver Beate von Harten hand makes rugs and textiles that tell stories of places, spaces and history and of the process of weaving. Whether it is a flatweave or shaggy rug her handmade creations are more like pieces of art for the wall than floor coverings. On Sunday 27 October the opening of von Harten’s new exhibition ‘Welt und Wiesenbilder. gewebt und andere mit pigmenten’ will open at the Galerie Am Leiglweg, in Neulengbach, with a musical performance at 5.30pm. The show will continue until Sunday 24 November.
