Maria Westerberg showed her designs at the recent Stockholm furniture fair. Her designs use ideas of recycling and turning objects into new design. In 2009 she made a recycled interior collection, including pillows and chairs made using old ties, for a large Swedish company, Indiska. She adds: “The underlying theme for most of my projects is to create new unique forms and functions from existing objects with their own aesthetic expression and place them in a new context.”
