There are two months to go before COVER Connect New York 2023 takes place at two neighbouring Manhattan venues—The Metropolitan Pavilion and The Altman Building. Our previews leading up the event we will highlight the 37 dynamic brands that have been selected to exhibit. Thanks to the success of last year’s show the 22 companies from 2022 are returning, joined by 15 more influential rug brands.
Here COVER presents three more new exhibitors for 2023.
PAULIG

From the initial founding of the German family business 250 years ago, Paulig has always focused on production that is fair and sustainable. The company’s contemporary, high-quality products only use natural materials such as wool, silk and sisal and can be individually tailored to people’s needs. Paulig rugs are not only found in German-speaking countries but furniture stores across the world.
SAHAR CARPETS

Haynes Robinson, Behrouz Sarlak and Hamed Derakhshan formed Sahar Carpets with the ethos of fusing minimalist contemporary design with organic materials and traditional production processes. The continuity of collections is meticulously maintained through a disciplined process of using the design DNA of preceding collections to create Sahar’s new design introductions, bringing a sense of natural flow and evolution.
Tibet Rug Company
— Artistic integrity — Unique designs —
Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Tibet Rug Company emerged in 1991 with a clear vision—to unite the ancient art of Tibetan hand knotted carpets with original, contemporary design to create an evolving collection of rugs crafted with structural and artistic integrity. The brand’s unique designs offer modern rugs with a Western edge, including Native American style rugs in both Tibetan hand-knotted and Indian sumakh techniques.
