From a playful tiger-inspired pelt to organic lines, softened geometry and architectural pattern, these four designs reinterpret familiar forms through unexpected colour combinations, graphic motifs and tactile techniques
A playful take on the animal pelt
Taking its cues from the distinctive markings of a tiger, Samson by New Moon Rugs offers a playful, graphic interpretation of the traditional animal pelt.
Hand knotted in Tibetan wool to the brand’s 100-knot quality, the design combines sky blue, orange, ochre, ivory, salmon, mulberry and black in a richly coloured composition.
Made using the Terra Low Reserve weave, Samson balances its expressive pattern with the softness and natural character of Tibetan wool. The rug is available in additional sizes, with custom options also offered to suit individual projects.
Organic lines inspired by tree bark
Set to debut at Decorex International 2026, Kew is a new handmade design from Riviere Rugs inspired by the natural formations and richly textured lines of tree bark. Its flowing, hand-drawn pattern is formed from fine lines woven in silk, layered to create depth, movement and a subtle interplay of texture.
Organic yet balanced, Kew brings a quiet sense of sophistication to contemporary interiors.
Handcrafted in the Kathmandu Valley using high-grade Tibetan wool and Botanic silk, the design is woven in Riviere’s signature 100-knot quality.
It can also be fully customised through Riviere’s bespoke service, with more than 2,000 colours available.
Geometry softened through organic form
StudioPROBA’s Organic Structure collection translates the studio’s signature language of organic shapes into a series of tactile, hand-knotted rugs.
Made from 100% New Zealand wool at approximately 100 knots per foot, the designs rework repetition through forms that curve, bloom and dissolve at the edges.
The collection balances structured geometry with a more intuitive, nature-inspired sensibility, moving between grid and garden, precision and play. Bold patterns meet subtle vintage references, while the depth of colour and softness of New Zealand wool give the rugs a tactile quality underfoot.
Architectural facades reimagined in pattern
Floor Story’s Power designs translate the geometric facades of city tower blocks into a colourful, rhythmic rug pattern.
Developed by POoR Collective, the design reflects the studio’s community-centred approach, drawing on architecture and the visual language of urban environments.
Available in Evergreen and Tangerine colourways, the flatwoven rugs use warp and weft yarns to create a structured composition of vertical lines and repeated circular forms. The result is a graphic design softened by a playful palette, bringing an architectural sensibility to the floor.
