Blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living, Portuguese brand Santos Monteiro unveils a new visual narrative for summer through its latest editorial photoshoot, captured at the breathtaking West Coast retreat Areias do Seixo

Santos Monteiro
Known as ‘Carpet Tailors’, Santos Monteiro has spent decades developing bespoke textile solutions for residential, hospitality and contract spaces, combining Portuguese textile savoir-faire with a contemporary and highly adaptable design approach.
This philosophy comes to life in the Origins collection-one of the brand’s latest proposals for 2026, designed for both interior and exterior environments.
The Language of Origins
Produced in 100% recycled PET and engineered to withstand water and UV exposure, the collection balances technical performance with a refined tactile and visual identity.
The Origins collection explores fluidity and texture in three carpet references: Aqua, Coral and Mirage.

They all offer the possibility of soft geometries, curved profiles and organic shapes that reflect a growing desire for comfort driven spaces, where emotional connection prevails over purely aesthetic choices.
A New Landscape for Living
Designed for contemporary living, the carpet collection suits both indoor and outdoor settings, from rooftops, to poolside areas, lounges and relaxed architectural spaces where the relationship between nature and design becomes increasingly seamless.

More than a product presentation, the photoshoot was meant to be an immersive visual essay, emphasising the bond between the rugs and the spaces they are in.
The model reinforces an emotional dimension, imprinting authenticity, giving a sense of scale, movement and intimacy: all in dialogue with the collection’s textures and tones.
The project anticipates the launch of Santos Monteiro’s upcoming Spring/Summer Trendbook – a concise editorial piece dedicated to contemporary outdoor and indoor living, featuring creative combinations, finishes and new perspectives for textile applications.
