Illulian – Pliage by Bruno Tarsia

With Pliage, Milanese rug maison Illulian transforms the simple act of folding into a sophisticated exploration of form, texture and space.

Designed by Bruno Tarsia, the rug moves beyond its traditional two-dimensional role, becoming a sculptural landscape defined by shifting planes, light and shadow.

Crafted from wool and silk, with varying pile heights that create a striking bas-relief effect, Pliage demonstrates Illulian’s mastery of artisanal craftsmanship while offering a contemporary vision of the rug as an immersive architectural element.

Carpet Edition – Ushin & Mushin by Studio Ito

Inspired by Japanese philosophies of self-awareness and mindfulness, Carpet Edition’s new Ushin and Mushin rugs, designed by Setsu and Shinobu Ito of Studio Ito, translate spiritual concepts into tactile form.

Ushin explores the beauty of imperfection and transformation through layered geometries and varied pile heights, while Mushin reflects a state of calm and mental clarity through flowing abstract motifs and balanced compositions.

Hand-tufted in New Zealand wool with viscose detailing, both collections bring a sense of harmony, depth and contemplation to contemporary interiors.

La Manufacture Cogolin – Atèla & Nil

La Manufacture Cogolin expands its permanent collection with two distinctive new designs that celebrate collaboration
and craftsmanship.

Atèla, created with Franco-Caribbean design duo Dach&Zephir, is a beautifully crafted flat-woven raffia rug inspired by ideas of cultural memory and exchange.

Meanwhile, Nil, developed alongside Paris-based studio OUD Architecture, showcases the atelier’s historic weaving expertise, produced on its renowned 19th-century Jacquard looms. Both designs highlight the French manufacturer’s commitment to preserving traditional techniques while fostering contemporary creative dialogue.

Sahrai Milano – Traces of Order

Created in collaboration with designers Steve Leung and Andrea Bonini, Sahrai Milano’s Traces of Order collection explores order as a fluid and evolving concept rather than a rigid framework.

Comprising four designs — Jian, Modulus, Atrium and Vestige — the collection balances geometric precision with warmth and subtlety, drawing inspiration from early 20th-century interiors and the meeting of Eastern and Western design traditions.

Hand-knotted using New Zealand wool and silk, each rug offers a refined expression of harmony, proportion and timeless elegance.

MAANA Studios x Enea – Posillipo Edition

Presented during Art Basel 2026 within Enea’s immersive installation The Living Fragment, the new Posillipo Edition marks a collaboration between MAANA Studios and Enea.

Crafted entirely from 100 per cent recycled PET, the outdoor rug collection draws inspiration from Mediterranean landscapes and coastal vegetation, expressed through a palette of warm, natural tones.

Combining sustainability, durability and contemporary design, the collection reflects a growing emphasis on responsible materials while bringing a sophisticated softness to outdoor living spaces.

Amy Kent x Julian Chichester

A shared dedication to craftsmanship and timeless design lies at the heart of the new collaboration between Amy Kent and Julian Chichester.

Inspired by the traditional Tapa cloth paintings of the Pacific Islands, the collection reimagines historic patterns through a contemporary lens, resulting in rugs that feel both graphic and refined.

Produced by Amy Kent’s long-standing artisan partners in India and Nepal, the designs combine traditional weaving and hand-knotting techniques with a distinctly modern aesthetic, reinforcing the enduring appeal of handcrafted luxury.

BENI Rugs x Michael Bargo – Oak Lane

BENI Rugs collaborates with interior designer Michael Bargo on Oak Lane, a collection inspired by summers spent in Amagansett and the nostalgic charm of coastal living.

Drawing on Bargo’s personal archive of textiles and collected objects, the designs reinterpret stripes, plaids and woven motifs through BENI’s distinctive Moroccan craftsmanship.

Featuring new weave constructions alongside the brand’s established techniques, the collection balances relaxed elegance with playful warmth, capturing the effortless spirit of a seaside retreat.

The Rug Company – Stil & Takt by Paul Smith

The latest additions to Paul Smith’s Ratio collection for The Rug Company place texture and craftsmanship centre stage.

Inspired by Bauhaus geometry, Stil softens precise patterns into something more relaxed and tactile, while Takt introduces an innovative weaving technique that combines Tulu and Indo-Nepali knotting.

The result is a pair of richly textured rugs that reveal increasing complexity on closer inspection, demonstrating how traditional craftsmanship can transform geometric order into expressive contemporary design.
