The Best Rug Exhibitions at 3daysofdesign Copenhagen 2026

From established names to emerging studios, here’s where to find the most exciting rug brands and collections across the city and beyond

Copenhagen is fast becoming the most exciting design event of the year, with everything within walking or biking distance and a beautiful setting. In terms of rug brands, this year familiar faces are back in town alongside a few new names to look out for.

Starting off in the core area for events, in Kongens Nytorv FRAMING is a group show with a big draw. This year nanimarquina will be part of the event, showing Matiz, a new collection of rugs by French designer Julie Richoz. In the same area, Linie Design will be holding the exhibition Palette Muse to demonstrate the sensory and artistic potential of textiles.

See Vandra Rugs’ latest designs at Store Strandstræde 9 and round the corner will be a display of OCHRE’s most recent collection of textiles and ceramics by artist Anush Ghukasyan. At Amaliegade 6, Layered will be showing off its new Cord collection with Massproductions.

Just below the Kongens Nytorv district is Kultur, where Finate will display a new range of fun rugs within the group show PLAYROOM with other Finnish brands.

Then to the right of this, in the Christianshavn area, Swedish brand Kateha will be part of the Material Matters show in the Gammel Dok building while to the left, in the shopping area of Rosengård, Rezas will once again have an installation at the exclusive store Illums Bolighus.

Moving north, Frederiksstaden is the district where Ark Journal’s Design / Dialogue event will be located at Den Frie. Proposed as an exclusive showcase for the future of design, ­creative collaborations and craftsmanship, this year will see three rug brands, Warp & Weft, cc-tapis and Berllin-based brand Reuber Henning.

At Design / Dialogue Warp & Weft will present Lineage, a reflective exploration of the company archive. The rugs on show will comprise an adapted selection of rugs from the studio’s twenty-five-year history. cc-tapis will be showing a ready-to-buy collection with Milanese studio Studioutte while Reuber Henning will introduce the new ONO collection, made of wool, cactus and hemp fibres.

Further north still, but still within walking distance, Jan Kath Design will take over the fabulous space of Pakhus 11. There will be stunning rugs, a Nepalese loom, a rug sample bar and a lounge area where visitors can pause and experience the rugs up close.

If you have time and fancy popping over to Malmo in Sweden (a 20-minute train ride), Henzel Studio will be showing Oxidation Painting a rug from the brand’s Andy Warhol series, at Kalkeriet Contemporary.
