The 28th edition will take place in Shanghai from 27–29 May 2026, reinforcing its position as the leading trade fair for the carpet and flooring industry across the Asia-Pacific region.

With more than 1,500 exhibitors spread across 210,000 square metres of fully booked exhibition space, the event is expected to welcome over 80,000 buyers and industry professionals from more than 120 countries.

As global sourcing strategies continue to evolve, the exhibition remains one of the most significant international meeting points for manufacturers, designers, retailers, specifiers and technology providers operating within the flooring sector.

From handmade rugs and resilient flooring to advanced manufacturing technologies and sustainability-led innovation, the event continues to strengthen its position as a key global sourcing and networking platform for the industry.

Asia’s Leading Flooring Platform

Ahead of the show, organisers have launched the official online showroom, enabling visitors worldwide to explore participating companies, discover new products and arrange meetings in advance of the exhibition.

The exhibition will once again present a comprehensive overview of the entire flooring supply chain, from raw materials and production technologies through to finished flooring products and installation solutions.

A major focus remains the carpet sector, which will occupy two halls and feature approximately 550 companies and brands from around the world. The sector will showcase handmade and machine-made carpets, rugs, carpet tiles and mats, alongside machinery, fibres, yarns and advanced manufacturing technologies supporting the broader carpet production chain.

One of the standout additions for 2026 is the debut participation of the Coir Board of India, which will present a dedicated national pavilion highlighting premium Indian coir and handmade flooring products.

Elsewhere, the Red Note (Xiaohongshu) curated area will offer an immersive showcase of handmade carpets through a programme combining exhibitions, talks, trend presentations and influencer-led tours.

Sustainability, Innovation and Global Growth

Alongside product showcases, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2026 will continue to reflect the rapid evolution of China’s flooring industry, which is increasingly moving beyond large-scale manufacturing towards globally recognised brands with stronger design identities and higher-value product offerings.

Chinese exhibitors are expected to present increasingly international business strategies, including the growing adoption of “China headquarters + overseas bases” operational models designed to improve resilience, flexibility and responsiveness within shifting global markets.

Sustainability will also remain central to this year’s edition. As consumer awareness surrounding indoor materials and environmental standards continues to rise, exhibitors are placing greater emphasis on safer materials, low-impact manufacturing and improved transparency across production processes.

The exhibition’s Floor Tech sector will further underline these developments, occupying more than 20,000 square metres with over 200 exhibitors focused on intelligent manufacturing systems and advanced production technologies. Exhibits will include automation, precision engineering and energy-efficient machinery designed to support flexible and customised manufacturing.

International Attendance and Industry Insight

International participation continues to be one of DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR’s defining strengths. The 2025 edition attracted 83,056 flooring professionals from 124 countries, including more than 18,000 overseas visitors, and organisers report strong registration momentum for the 2026 event despite wider geopolitical uncertainty.

Visitor growth has been particularly notable from South Korea, Australia, India, Pakistan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Organisers also cite recent visa waivers and bilateral cooperation initiatives as contributing factors supporting increased international attendance.

Talks, Workshops and Seminars

Alongside the exhibition, an extensive programme of seminars, talks and workshops will provide insight into the latest market developments and design trends shaping the Asian flooring industry.

Among the highlights is the “Asia Flooring Talks: Asian Markets’ Insights and Trend Forecasting” workshop, a half-day English-language event taking place on the second day of the exhibition. The programme will feature presentations and panel discussions exploring market conditions, consumer preferences, manufacturing innovation and interior design trends across Asia’s key flooring markets.

Confirmed speakers include Phil Buckley, Elvin Tay, Mallory Cruise-McGrath, David Shi, Thomas Young and Laetitia Kimblad.

As Asia-Pacific’s flagship flooring exhibition, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2026 continues to strengthen its role as a key gateway to the region’s rapidly developing flooring markets, connecting global buyers with Asia’s extensive manufacturing and design capabilities.
