Under the theme ‘Common Ground: A Global Dialogue on Design and Shared Values’, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) will return to the Javits Center in New York from 17–19 May during NYCxDESIGN.

As North America’s leading contemporary design fair, ICFF will spotlight a renewed vision centred on global exchange, emerging talent and international collaboration.

Among a diverse range of exhibitors, returning brands will include Eliko Rugs by David Ariel, FJ Kashanian Rugs, Scandecor-Rugs, Allybello, Gica, Cicil, Apadana Rugs and Warp & Weft.

Warp & Weft Explores Colour, Texture and Light

Warp & Weft is distinguished by its dedication to colour, form, texture and light — the core foundations of design.

The brand will present new designs during the fair that incorporate each of these elements, including its Kia Sar collection of rugs, handwoven in Turkey.

The piece featured here is a bold, inviting rug in which shades of red, blue and yellow meet and fuse into one another, forming a dynamic and layered design.

Allybello’s Coastal Collection Captures the Spirit of the Seaside

Ripple, Wing and Splash are just three beautiful examples from Allybello’s Coastal collection.

Available in a variety of colourways, these rugs capture the serenity and relaxed charm of coastal living. Each rug is rooted in elements of the seaside. Ripple is inspired by the pleasing ripple pattern formed in the sand by the lowering tide; meanwhile, Splash is evocative of the playful motion of water.

Within the wider NYCxDESIGN programme, Amy Helfand presents Eutopos at Andrew Logan Projects, an immersive exhibition exploring the intersection of weaving, sculpture and contemporary craft.

The exhibition will feature a selection of rugs alongside two intricate 300-knot tapestries conceived as wall-based textile artworks, as well as ceramic stools topped with miniature rug cushions and a series of sculptural objects connected to the rug collection.

Alongside a music accompaniment, the rug and sculpture show opens with a reception on 15 May from 5–9pm.
