COVER assistant editor Rachel Meek talks to interior designer Isabel Ladd

Interior designer Isabel Ladd shares her design philosophy with COVER assistant editor Rachel Meek in our eighth edition of COVER Conversations. The Kentucky-based creative discusses her Style Spotter status for the High Point Market next month and her upcoming inclusion in the 2026 Southeastern Designer Showhouse in Atlanta, which opens on 16 April. We also find out the motivation behind Ladd’s design selections and what kind of rugs she loves to specify for her exuberant interiors. You can also read the Isabel Ladd interview in COVER 82.

Isabel Ladd: ‘When designing, I don’t focus on words like classic, timeless, contemporary. I just put things together until I feel that it works. But here’s the one word that I do use: juxtaposition!’
