To mark 20 years of COVER magazine being at the centre of the rug industry, our Autumn issue will be a special COLLECTORS' EDITION. The covetable printed issue of COVER 80 will be accompanied by a FREE digital edition, available on the websites of media...
Following from our latest print issue article, the time has come to unveil the COVER team members behind this years choices
As a company that looks at a lot of rugs every day, our favourites obviously need to stand out from the crowd.
Interior trend forecasts for 2025 predicted the use of warm hues including shades of red. It appears that this impacted on our rug choices. Among the red shades, there are also plenty of other intense and uplifting colours.
As promised in the Winter COVER 2025 issue, here are 9 out of the 11 reveals for which team member chose which design from this years quarterly prints.

Broken Melodies of a Fairytale, Emily Trujillo
Chosen by: Raquel Diaz-Downey, Senior Sales & Events Manager.
‘I love the name of the rug, the flatweave. It is a whimsical design, and cheerful colouring. It would make me very happy to have this rug at home and also to support the work of an ancient craft and weaving community such as the Chimayo.’

Wanderlust, Warp & Weft
Chosen by: Ella Haig – Editorial Assistant & Digital Editor
‘This rug, which featured on the COVER of issue 79, is one of my favourites for its dynamic design and intricate details. It evokes a sense of movement that I find really captivating.’

Square cuts, Deirdre Dyson
Chosen by : David Philips – Advertising Sales
‘To me this rug looks vibrant, colourful and really unique.’

Shifting Ombre, Creative Matters Inc
Chosen by: Malin Lonnberg – Senior Editor
‘Who doesn’t like a popsicle? This rug is happy, textured and makes an impact without overshadowing other design elements of a space’

Stripes, Warp & Weft
Chosen by: David Young – Sales & Marketing Director.
‘The design is simple but full of life thanks to the irregular lines and hand-made feel.’

Where Lies My Carpet is Thy Home, Christopher Joshua Benton
Chosen by: Kanittha Mairaing – Design & Production
‘Breathtaking. Colourful. Monumental. Inspiring.’

Do you have one?, India Mahdavi x cc-tapis
Chosen by: Radostina Dobreva – Design & Production
‘I love how the subtle, well-chosen colours and simple shapes work together to create something that feels both fun and effortless.’

One-of-a-kind Taimany collection rug, ABC Italia x Samad Rugs
Chosen by: Elena Wyszynski
‘I love the vibrant colours and the energy of this design.’

Chosen by: Ben Evans – Executive Editor
‘The vertical and horizontal pattern blocks seem to imply to me the warp and weft within the rug structures, and the abrashed fields of colour add to the sense of depth within the overall composition. ‘
