Design enthusiasts, industry leaders, and creatives gathered at the new Jordan Campus to celebrate its grand opening

An event at rug retailer Teppich Jordan in Waldshut-Tiengen, Germany, on Thursday 9 October marked a significant milestone for the world of fine interior design as more than seventy guests from Germany and Switzerland gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the new Jordan Campus, a dynamic space dedicated to craftsmanship, creativity, and cultural exchange.

The evening began with an inspiring panel discussion moderated by entrepreneur and coach Claudia Scheelen, who guided a captivating conversation between Adja Kath of the internationally acclaimed House of Jan Kath and Julia Jordan, CEO and Creative Director of Teppich Jordan. Together, the speakers explored the fascinating intersection of tradition and innovation in the art of hand-knotted rugs, tracing the evolution of design from generations of family heritage to today’s contemporary reinterpretations.

Following the discussion, guests were treated to a curated flying dinner featuring regional specialties, complemented by lively conversation and a shared passion for craftsmanship. One of the evening’s highlights was an interactive rug-knotting experience, where attendees could try their hand at the intricate techniques that define the artistry behind each handmade piece.
The celebration continues throughout the weekend with an Open House at the Jordan Campus, welcoming visitors to immerse themselves in the world of artisan rug-making, design innovation, and timeless craftsmanship. With its blend of tradition, creativity, and community, the Jordan Campus promises to become a new hub for inspiration in the world of textile design.
