Turquoise Mountain presents two new collections of handwoven Afghan carpets at Victor Gallery, New York, from 13–15 September 2025

Silk Road Wildflowers Blue Turquoise Mountain

Turquoise Mountain is launching two new collections of handwoven Afghan carpets at Victor Gallery in New York, in an exclusive 2,000 sq ft pop-up from 13–15 September 2025.

In addition to the new Mamluk-inspired and Khotan collections, the show will feature more than 100 carpets from Turquoise Mountain’s established collections, incorporating traditional, transitional, and contemporary designs in wool, silk, and wool-silk blends. Every carpet is hand-knotted by weavers supported by the organisation in Afghanistan.

The exhibition will also include pieces from the Weaving Poems series by Afghan designer Maryam Omar, following her dedicated exhibition at Sotheby’s in London. Inspired by poems tied to traditional weaving practices and the cultural landscapes of the Bamiyan Valley, Maryam’s work will be presented alongside the new collections. She will also be part of the Turquoise Mountain team at the event.

Beyond these collections, Turquoise Mountain offers bespoke commissions and design collaborations, with expert teams in the US and Afghanistan supporting clients throughout the design and production process. All carpets are independently audited by Label STEP, Turquoise Mountain’s fair-trade partner.
