Five new rug designs for Autumn/Winter 2024

As the season cools, we take a look at 5 new rug designs that will heat your rooms up for Winter. Red has been a popular choice recently, first in fashion and then in interiors with the concept of ‘unexpected red theory’ promoting the use of red interior products to bring cohesion to a space. Here we look at reds, pinks, oranges and rusts to enjoy the qualities of the warmest tones.

cc-tapis x Massimo Giorgetti x Fondazione Franco Albini

The recent art rug collaboration between cc-tapis and fashion designer Massimo Giorgetti and Fondazione Franco Albini and was on show at Ordet Gallery in Milan. The designs were inspired by Milan’s metro system, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

Voyeur, Frame collection, Erik Lindström

The Frame collection by Erik Lindström, which recently launched in New York, is a contemporary spin on border designs. Inspiration comes from Art Deco, mid-century, Navajo and classic designs and motifs.

Taimany collection, Samad x ABC Italia

It is great to see that ABC Italia’s Taimany collection has arrived with Samad in the US. Woven in Afghanistan by women who create the fabulous bright designs in 100% wool, the rugs have a sense of creativity and tale telling.

Modern Fantasia 6, Laura Gottwald for Apadana collection

Interior designer Laura Gottwald feels that she has a special affinity with carpets, which she sees is often the foundation of an interior scheme. Her recent collection with Apadana includes many bright geometrics, all hand-tufted in Northern India in Persian wool.

Piazza Terracotta, Vanguard collection, Creative Matters Inc

At COVER Connect New York, Creative Matters launched new designs in popular Vanguard collection. Hand-knotted in Nepal in Tibetan wool and Chinese silk, Piazza Terracotta is a modern interpretation of Art Deco classic rug design.
