What a rollercoaster the last four years has been! While it is hard to work against a slow economy, I cannot help but feel that today it is less about what you sell and more about how you sell it. If you have your quality and marketing perfected and aligned you should be set for success but it is no easy equation.
For high-end hand-knotted rug brands, trends are, very often, not a relevant part of the design process, but seasonal colour preferences can shape collections. In 2024 it appears that shades of green and also colours approximating peach are in vogue. In some areas, browns and rusts are over-taking the general preference for blues and beiges. However, many rug companies will say no, that’s not what is happening with us.
