COVER delves into the upcoming show as it prepares for its 58th edition
From 16– 20 October 2024, the India Expo Centre & Mart in Delhi NCR, India, will transform into a major destination for buyers seeking a diverse range of home, lifestyle, fashion, and furniture products, including handwoven and hand-knotted carpets and rugs. Organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) India, the Autumn edition of the IHGF Delhi Fair will feature over 3000 exhibitors across sixteen halls and 900 Mart Showrooms. Attendees can explore themed pavilions, regional craft displays, live demonstrations and attend seminars led by industry experts.

The event features fourteen distinct categories, showcasing a comprehensive range of meticulously curated concepts and products aimed at importers, wholesalers, retail chains, and design professionals. In addition to floor coverings and rugs, attendees will find housewares, tableware, furniture, lighting, home accessories, bathroom essentials, garden decor, educational toys and games, handcrafted stationery, and leather bags. A number of brands at the exhibition will highlight the rising demand for sustainable products, presenting creative solutions made from eco-friendly materials. For those seeking woven products, the show offers contemporary as well as traditional choices in rugs, runners, carpets and mats.

Following suit with many other shows in recent times, the fair is placing an increasing emphasis on the importance of sustainability, while timeless themes like rustic charm, artisanal craftsmanship, and inventive design continue to endure. Sustainability is a key focus across all categories, particularly in the home décor and gifting sectors, where manufacturers are experimenting with innovative materials and processes to optimise the use of resources.
