COVER 75, Summer 2024, is available for everyone to read online now

Our new issue, COVER 75 is now available as a free digital edition (see below). Our two cover designs feature the stunning Elixir rug by Diane Scott and Hanrad and Nadia Watts‘ interior at the Kips Bay Palm Beach Show House with eye-catching rug by Watts and Retorra.

COVER 75 has two important focuses: the first is a section on online rug retail with a report on how the pandemic has changed rug buying habits. In addition, we speak to The Future Perfect and Jane Clayton about how the businesses view the future of retail. The second section is ‘Made in Afghanistan’ comprising a look at new Afghan rug collections—including the recent Ishkar and Louis Barthélemy series and Taimany by ABC Italia—plus reports on the work of Turquoise Mountain and USAID’s ACEBA project, Q&A with Amadi Carpets and a trend focus.

In terms of events, COVER reports on spring’s two major interior events Kips Bay Decorator Show House New York and the San Francisco Decorator Showcase. The best events and collections from Milan Design Week come under the spotlight, while we offer the lowdown on Domotex asia/CHINAFLOOR, High Point Market and ICFF. Further reports come from We Design Beirut and the Dubai exhibition ‘Carpets of Eden, Gardens of Fantasy’.

We highlight Amini’s stunning new rug series with Verner Panton, while other impressive collections come from cc-tapis x Faye Toogood, Erik Lindström, Battilossi x STORAGEMILANO, Odabashian’s gobelin-style tapestries, Robert Kime, and Understorey. The works of creatives Beate von Harten, Sukaina Kubba and Leonor Serrano Rivas also capture our imaginations.
