More highlights from this year’s Carpet Design Awards
Categories two and three of the Carpet Design Awards, which took place at Domotex Hanover last month, were Best Design Superior and Best Design Deluxe. We have already published the finalists and winners on the COVER website, but here we highlight some of the designs from those two categories that somehow did not make it through. From the approximately 200 entries, there are plenty of designs that need to talked about. Here are seven of our favourites.
Bold designs come is the shape of Exotic Jungle Beat 2 by Zollanvari and Oriental Rug Mart‘s interpretation of Albert Paley’s artwork while more a contemplative mood is created by Wool & Silk‘s Smoke, Kirkit’s Reflection, Aava by Kristiina Lassus and Anisa Home’s rug. Artep‘s Orientalisme designs by Mo Coppoletta bring a element of magic and wonder to rug design, uniting old with new.
