Dutch design studio Visser & Meijwaard’s new rug collection Lint for Moooi Carpets is anything but dull
Fancy something striking for your interior for the new year? Visser & Meijwaard’s rug designs for Moooi Carpets, which recently showed at Dutch Design Week 2021, are certainly eye-catching. The designs of the newly released Lint collection illustrate silk ribbons woven into colourful patterns and were inspired by traditional tartan textiles. In Lint the Vera Meijwaard and Steven Visser played around with scale and colour to arrive at these bold designs.
Design studio Visser & Meijwaard is based in Arnhem, the Netherlands and the duo create their minimalist products through investigation into context, scale and materiality. Their work has included furniture, lighting, textiles, ceramics and glassware and they have worked with brands such as Hermès, Linteloo and Pulpo Products.
The Lint collection comprises three exuberant colourways: Magenta, Red and Orange. The product is available in area rugs of various sizes and shapes and in broadloom, in low pile polyamide, soft yarn polyamide and wool.
