Deirdre Dyson Paris

After launching her collections every year at Maison et Objet, Deirdre Dyson has taken the step to open a permanent showroom in Paris, in the heart of Saint Germain-des-Prés. A new feature is a life-size projection of carpet images from the design library, which can be browsed using an iPad and imagined as they would look on the floor.

Thibault Van Renne

Thibault Van Renna Knokke

Thibault Van Renne recently moved his carpet showroom from his hometown in Ghent to Knokke, a fashionable seaside town in Belgium known to attract a high-end clientele. The flagship store is located on the Albertplein, an attractive address for luxury brands, and was designed by renowned Antwerp architect Dieter Vander Velpen.

Rezas Copenhagen

On 29 August 2020 Rezas, northern Europe’s largest wholesaler of oriental and modern rugs, opened a shop-in-shop in the home furnishings department of the prestigious Illums Bolighus store in the centre of Copenhagen. Over 50 rugs are on display from Rezas’ Vintage and Modern rug collections, as well as 50 samples.

With timing to coincide with London Design Festival, Tai Ping opened a new flagship showroom at 85 Pelham Street in South Kensington. The launch featured an immersive mirror installation by designer Sarah Izod.

The Rug Company’s latest US showroom has opened at the New York Design Center, 200 Lexington Ave. The 4,000 sq ft space combines showroom, design studio and office to create a unique customer experience.

Exquisite Rugs has opened its first permanent showroom in Los Angeles. ‘More and more people are visiting us on the West Coast, and we wanted to be able to show, at a glance, the diversity we have,’ commented co-owner Hersel Bani-Esraili.

Jennifer Manners Design’s new flagship showroom can be found in London’s Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour. Hailing the move, founder Jennifer Manners said, ‘DCCH is certainly the home of European luxury interiors—and possibly the world.’

Tigmi Trading joins like-minded creative, curated, artisan and small batch businesses in the Byron Arts and Industrial Estate in Byron Bay. Tigmi Trading’s new location in a brick industrial building provides an open-plan environment with ample space and scale for the company’s extensive ‘formative core collection’ of curated vintage and contemporary Moroccan and Turkish rugs plus contemporary rug brand Cappelen Dimyr.
