With an unbeatable breadth of selection across the middle and high end of the hand-knotted, tufted, and machine-woven market The Rug Show has become an undeniable ‘must’ for serious rug and carpet showroom owners and buyers. Join The Rug Show at the Javits Center in New York City from 10-13 September 2016.

‘We seem to have a bit of buzz about the show this year.’ says Ramin Mobayen, principal organiser of The Rug Show. ‘There is a level of excitement brewing that I’ve not felt since rug shows in the late 90s or early 2000s. It’s going to be big.’

This year’s show will see the North American show debut of highly Awarded German brand Rug Star by Jürgen Dahlmanns for their global introduction of ‘Rug Star Tuft’; a tufted quality made in China with dazzling colour and striking clarity. First time exhibitor and relative newcomer Atlas Showroom’s personally sourced Moroccan carpets bring a new perspective to the hot trend and appeal strongly to culturally sophisticated consumers and buyers alike, whereas Lapchi will continue to impress with their annual ‘New Work | New York’ showing of always noteworthy introductions. Loloi is also making their Rug Show debut with a showing of their fashion forward designer collections.

Buyers will also be treated to an impressive selection of new and fresh Iranian goods due to the lifting of the Embargo earlier this year. Widely known for essentially inventing the modern Gabbeh market, Zollanvari will be exhibiting, as will be Werner Weber and Edelgrund both showing deftly coloured contemporary Iranian kelims. Nasiri will present their collection of award winning ‘Mid-Century Modern’ Iranian Kelims while more of the Mid-Century aesthetic can be found at Rug & Kilim who will be showing their Carpet Design Award winning collection inspired by Swedish masters.
