Timed just ahead of Domotex this year, AmericasMart Atlanta (12-19 January) is an important rug show for the American market. For those who have not previously visited the event, the rug companies exhibiting are divided into two main categories: those with permanent showrooms at the Peachtree Avenue location, and those who exhibit in the Temporaries space.
Exhibiting brands in 2016 include Nourison, Loloi, Capel, Amadi, Jaipur, French Accents, Nalbandian and Karastan plus Ariana and Michaelian and Kohlberg in the Temporaries. Get to the show to spot emerging trends and new designs for the upcoming year.
Nourison
As part of the Americasmart programme Geoff Duckworth Senior Designer and Graphics Manager for Tamarian Carpets will be presenting a seminar on ‘The making of a custom rug’, which will begin with an introduction to the materials and weaving process with some ideas on how to sell custom rugs in your showroom by Chris Saliga, Director of Sales for Tamarian. Duckworth will then cover four steps of the design process: Ideas and Inspirations, Rendering, Loom and Finished product. He will use practical examples of each step along the way.
