Henzel Studio Collaborations volume 1, a limited edition art rug collection project created by Calle and Asa Henzel of by Henzel with 12 renowned international artist and curator Joakim Andreasson, went on display at Barneys in New York on 10 May. From the collaboration, which featured in COVER 34, sprung a series of 12 hand-knotted rugs from the likes of Anselm Reyle, Juergen Teller and Helmut Lang, based on work by the artists. The Helmut Lang and Anselm Reyle designs were shown in Milan last month but this is the first time all the rugs will be shown together (Sadly Juergen Teller’s hand-woven portrait of Vivienne Westwood will not be at Barneys). Â The collection will be on display at the department store until 9 June 2014 so if you are visiting New York for ICFF or any other forthcoming event do pop into Barneys for the magnificent display.
