Spanish design studio Zuzunaga has collaborated with British rug brand Brintons to create two exciting new carpets Deep Grid and Harlequin. The design company was set up by artist and designer Cristian Zuzunaga in 2007 and has offices in Barcelona and London plus an online store selling fabrics, rugs, cushions, throws and fashion accessories like bags and scarves. He has become well know for his pixellated designs in bright colours.

The companies previously collaborated on the Infinity Runner at Campaign for Wool’s WOOL HOUSE in March 2013. The new collection is inspired by Cristian Zuzunaga’s visit to the Brintons’ textile archive, where he found astonishing similarities to his own pixellated designs and was intrigued by 17th and 18th century fabrics woven on grid patterns, often using extremely bright colours.
