Young rug designer Liz Eeuwes came to my attention after meeting her at 100% London in September 2009. She was displaying an impressive series of rugs based on ariel photography. In 2013 she has returned with a follow up series of rugs based on ariel views of the world entitled Terre Des Hommes

Young rug designer Liz Eeuwes came to my attention after meeting her at 100% London in September 2009. She was displaying an impressive series of rugs based on aerial photography. In 2013 she has returned with a follow up series of rugs based on aerial views of the world entitled Terre Des Hommes. The collection comprises six designs, which are more abstracted and even more decorative than her first work as they are based on man-made landscapes instead of the more naturalistic forms of the Landscapes Collection of 2009. They are hand-tufted and all feature carved pile.
