Dana Finnigan is a Glasgow-based textile design studio specialising in surface pattern design and interior textiles. The company describes its style as “masculine collage” and the work is influenced by both Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The bold patterns come in various forms – ceramics, tiles, wallpapers and cushions – pattern made to order. New Zealand-born company owner Dana Finnigan studied her Masters at the Glasgow School of Art and recently set up the firm in the city. Finnigan explains: “With a touch of nostalgia, our designs are inspired by Art Nouveau and Art Deco alike. It is the company’s mission to take bold shapes then blur, texturise and distort them. We really love colour and always try to come up with unique combinations you would not normally put together. With that in mind, our designs are aimed at bringing together the vintage and modern in your decor of choice.”
