The V&A‘s new exhibition ‘Club to Catwalk: London Fashion in the 1980s’ opens tomorrow featuring over 85 outfits that perfectly define the fashion styles of the 1980s, from the New Romantics to Goth and Glam Fetish. The exhibition traces the emergence of new trends as London’s eclectic club scene during the 80’s influenced a new generation of designers who reinvented fashion. Clothes by Katherine Hamnett, John Galliano and Betty Jackson will be on show alongside the outrageous costumes worn by colourful characters such as the 80’s heroes Leigh Bowery and Adam Ant.
