Kiki van Eijk and Joost van Bleiswijk graduated from the acclaimed Design Academy Eindhoven and since 2001 have shared a workshop in Eindhoven, working as independent designers. To mark the re-opening of The Het Noordbrabants Museum in ‘s-Hertogenbosch the duo have been invited to exhibit an overview of their work. The exhibition comprises 80 masterpieces from the first ten years of their careers. Displayed in the form of a timeline Kiki’s work starts with her first design the Kiki carpet which signifies the beginning of her international career, up to her miniature decors for La Montre Hermès from 2013.

Inspired by the “strange proportions” of 19th century doll houses, Kiki designed the weave pattern for Kiki Carpet to look like a giant cross-stitch canvas, with an over-sized Victorian rose as the central motif.
