Marc Jacobs’s fantastically fun 2013 ‘Resort’ collection was apparently inspired by Cindy Sherman’s series of clown portraits. ‘Resort’ collections fall between designers’ Autumn and Spring collections and were originally marketed to affluent customers who spend winter in warmer climates.
