Textile designer and illustrator Balakrishna Madana has launched his first textile collection under the name Krishna Madana. Brought up in a south Indian village he was influenced by the bright colour and beautiful patterns of the silks and cottons being produced and sold in the area. Madana was educated in India and the UK where he developed his passion for fabric design. His first collection of silk scarves, cushions and embroidered wall art is inspired by Mughal architecture and jewellery and comprises bold colours and shapes.
