At Chicago’s NeoCon trade fair in 2011 Maharam introduced a new fabric range called Point by Paul Smith. It marks the sixth textile collaboration between the British fashion designer and the Maharam Design Studio, in which Smith has explored different stripe relationships. This new series  is distinguished by a fusion of construction and pattern, dense rayon yarns are secured by a fine nylon binder, forming  a gridded texture reminiscent of needlepoint or traditional grospoint transport cloth in eleven variations.
