Israeli lighting and furniture designer Ayala Serfaty currently has her first solo exhibition in the United States at the Cristina Grajales Gallery, New York. ‘In Vein’ presents 16 new lighting and furniture pieces which highlight Serfaty interest in combining ancient materials with contemporary design. For her new furniture work, Serafaty has researched the process of handmade felting and her seating employs molded silk, linen and wools are to create seamless upholstered surfaces.
