If you happen to find yourself in New York on 9 November 2010 go along to Suite 707 in the New York Design Center, 200 Lexington Avenue, for an exhibition of custom carpets by five of New York’s top female designers: Amy Helfand, Tania Johnson, Malene B, Tracey Sawyer of The Nought Collective and Judy Ross. The exhibition is called ‘Mother Earth: The Works of Women in Modern Carpet Design’ and will see each of the five designers showing and discussing one new carpet, made specially for the event in Casa’s New Furniture Showroom. Each of the exhibitors has a different style so it will be interesting to see them all in one space.
